Craftsmanship, Not Compromise
Cheap replicas exist everywhere. Plastic shells. Veneer that peels. Foam that flattens after a year. We refuse to compete in that market. Our products cost more than budget alternatives because we use real materials and pay attention to construction.
The Materials We Use
Our lounge chairs use Italian aniline leather. This is the same category of leather used by premium licensed manufacturers. Aniline leather is dyed all the way through, not just on the surface. It develops a natural patina over years of use, becoming more beautiful with age rather than wearing out.
For wood elements, we work with quality veneers including walnut, rosewood, and ash. Each shell is built layer by layer following the original moulded plywood technique that Charles and Ray Eames pioneered in the 1940s.
Our metal components are made from polished aluminium and stainless steel. The Barcelona chair frames are hand-polished to achieve the mirror-chrome finish that Mies van der Rohe specified in his original 1929 design.
What We Will Not Do
We will not claim our products are identical to original licensed versions. They are reproductions, and we are honest about that. We will not use cheap plastic or pleather and call it premium. We will not make claims we cannot back up with written guarantees.
